My name is Georgette Panman. I have been passionately teaching Dutch as a second language for about 25 years.  I studied Dutch at the  university and right after that I thaught adolescent refugees. Then I worked as a Dutch teacher at high schools for a while before I changed  my career to teach Dutch as a second language for adults.
With my extensive teaching experience I know what  it takes in order to master the language and have different ways of teaching.  I very much look at what the group/or person needs and adjust to that.
It  is important to me  to encourage  my students to take the plunge immediately and start to speak Dutch from day one.  It doesn’t matter if  one makes mistakes. During the lessons I use playful methods to stimulate conversations. You will make a huge progress this way!

Finally, language is our primary tool to express thoughts, emotions and behaviour, and the Dutch language is intrinsically connected to the Dutch culture. For me, these two aspects make teaching - and learning - Dutch so much more interesting and rewarding. I hope to help you discover the same, too.
